The Rewards of 'Umra and Hajj Mabrur

SUMMARY: The performance of 'Umra is an expiation for the sins committed and the reward of Hajj Mabrur is nothing except Paradise.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, "(The performance of) 'Umra is an expiation for the sins committed (between it and the previous one). And the reward of Hajj Mabrur (the one accepted by Allah) is nothing except Paradise".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْعُمْرَةُ إِلَى الْعُمْرَةِ كَفَّارَةٌ لِمَا بَيْنَهُمَا، وَالْحَجُّ الْمَبْرُورُ لَيْسَ لَهُ جَزَاءٌ إِلاَّ الْجَنَّةُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that performing the religious pilgrimage known as ‘Umrah can be a way to atone for any sins committed between it and the previous one. Additionally, if a person performs their pilgrimage in a manner that is accepted by Allah then they will be rewarded with entrance into paradise. This hadith teaches us that we should strive to perform our religious duties in order to receive Allah’s blessings and mercy. It also encourages us to repent for our wrongdoings so that we may be forgiven by Allah.
