The Reward of Fasting for Allah

SUMMARY: Fasting one day in the cause of Allah will be rewarded with a great distance between the person and the Fire.

Abu Saeed Al-Khudi said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever fasts one day in the cause of Allah, Allah will separate his face from the Fire by (a distance of) seventy autumns"'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Do good deeds out of love & devotion towards God

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how fasting one day in the cause of Allah can be greatly rewarded. According to this hadith, if someone fasts one day for Allah, then Allah will separate that person's face from the fire by seventy autumns. This means that if someone does something good for Allah, then they will be greatly rewarded and protected from any harm or danger. It is important to remember that these rewards are only given when we do something out of love and devotion to God, not out of obligation or fear. We should strive to do good deeds because we want to please God and make Him happy, not because we are afraid of punishment or want a reward.

The Prophet Muhammad was teaching us here that even small acts done with sincerity can have great rewards in this life and in the hereafter. He was also reminding us that our actions should always come from a place of love and devotion towards God so that we can reap all these blessings He has promised us.
