Show respect and consideration towards women who are menstruating; Inquire after your spouse’s health even when you’re travelling with a large group of people; Allow women to perform religious rituals such as tawaful ifda during their menstrual cycle without delaying others in any way.

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) inquiring about his wife Safiya bint Huyay's menses and being informed that she had already performed Tawaf-al-Ifada. Tawaf al Ifada is a ritual circumambulation of the Ka'bah which women are allowed to perform during their menstrual cycle. Upon hearing this information, the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) concluded that Safiya would not delay them from continuing on their journey. This hadith teaches us to be considerate and understanding towards women who are menstruating as they can still perform religious rituals such as tawaf al ifda without delaying others in any way. It also shows us how much respect and care the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) showed for his wife by inquiring after her health even when they were travelling together with a large group of people.
