The Reward for Fasting in the Cause of Allah

SUMMARY: Fasting one day in the cause of Allah will be rewarded with a great distance between the person and the fire of Hell.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever fasts one day in the cause of Allah, Allah, the mighty and sublime, will separate his face from the fire by (a distance of)seventy autumns"'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Fast one day for Allah's sake
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how fasting one day in the cause of Allah can be greatly rewarded. According to this hadith, if someone fasts one day for Allah, then He will separate that person's face from the fire by seventy autumns. This means that they will be very far away from it and thus protected from its heat and punishment. This is a great reward for those who are willing to sacrifice their time and energy to please Allah. It teaches us that we should strive to do good deeds as much as possible so that we can receive these rewards in return.
