The Right Side Preference of the Prophet (ﷺ).

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) had a habit of starting from the right side when doing anything.

Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet used to like to start from the right side on wearing shoes, combing his hair and cleaning or washing himself and on doing anything else.
حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ يُعْجِبُهُ التَّيَمُّنُ فِي تَنَعُّلِهِ وَتَرَجُّلِهِ وَطُهُورِهِ وَفِي شَأْنِهِ كُلِّهِ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the habits and preferences of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He used to start from his right side when wearing shoes, combing his hair and washing himself or doing anything else. This shows us that he was very particular about following certain habits in order to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in his life. It also teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions and strive to do them with intentionality so as to make sure we are following good habits in our lives too.
