Length of a Month

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stated that the month is twenty-nine days.

Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah said: "The month is twenty-nine (days)".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ حُرَيْثٍ - قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ
