Have faith in Allah , Respect Prophets , Witness your faith .

This hadith speaks about the importance of testifying faith in Allah and His messenger, Prophet Muhammad, before starting any religious activity such as fasting. It was narrated by Ibn 'Abbas that a Bedouin came to the Prophet and said he had sighted the crescent moon which marks the beginning of Ramadan. The Prophet then asked him if he bore witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger? When the Bedouin answered yes, only then did the prophet give out a call for people to fast. This hadith teaches us about how important it is to have faith in Allah before we can do any religious activities or rituals such as fasting during Ramadan or Hajj pilgrimage etc. It also shows us how much respect we should have for our beloved prophet who taught us these values through his teachings.
