During the month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world fast from sunrise to sunset. This hadith tells us that during this blessed month, Allah opens up His gates of mercy for us and closes off His gates of Hell. Additionally, He chains up all devils so that they cannot tempt us away from our faith. This is a reminder to all believers that we should take advantage of this opportunity to seek forgiveness for our sins and strive to do good deeds in order to gain Allah's pleasure.
