The Resurrection of Mankind

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that all of mankind will be returned to the earth, except for the tailbone from which they were created and will be recreated.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The Messenger of Allah said: 'The whole of the son of Adam will be consumed by the earth, except for the tailbone, from which he was created and from which he will be created anew"'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Live your life according to Allah's teachings so you may receive His mercy on Judgment Day.

EXPLANATIONS:
According to this hadith, narrated by Abu Hurairah, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that all of mankind will eventually return to the earth. This is a concept known as resurrection or al-ba'th in Arabic. However, there is one exception; the tailbone from which each person was created and from which they will be recreated anew. This hadith serves as a reminder that Allah has power over all things and He alone can bring us back to life after death. It also teaches us about our own mortality and encourages us to live our lives in accordance with His teachings so we may receive His mercy on Judgment Day.
