Sahih al-Bukhari 1737 (Book 25, Hadith 215) #1666
Permission to Do Rituals Out of Order on Day of Nahr

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Prophet (ﷺ) giving permission to people who had done certain rituals in the wrong order on the Day of Nahr.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As: I witnessed the Prophet when he was delivering the sermon on the Day of Nahr. A man stood up and said, "I thought that such and such was to be done before such and such. I got my hair shaved before slaughtering". (Another said), "I slaughtered the Hadi before doing the Rami". So, the people asked about many similar things. The Prophet said, "Do it (now) and there is no harm in all these cases". Whenever the Prophet was asked about anything on that day, he replied, "Do it (now) and there is no harm in it".

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Allah's commands with sincerity and devotion

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of Nahr, a man stood up and asked if it was permissible for him to do certain rituals out of order. He said he had gotten his hair shaved before slaughtering, and another person said he slaughtered his Hadi before doing Rami. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ replied that it was permissible and there would be no harm in doing these things out of order. This teaches us that we should not worry too much about small details when performing religious duties, as long as we are following Allah's commands with sincerity and devotion. We should also remember that Allah is forgiving and merciful, so even if we make mistakes or forget something, He will forgive us if our intentions are pure.
