Attending Funerals with Respect

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) attended the funeral of Ibn Ad-Dahbah and rode an unsaddled horse while his companions walked with him.

It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said: "The Messenger of Allah went our to the funeral of Ibn Ad-Dahbah, and when he came back an unsaddled horse was brought to him, so he rode and we walked with him".
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ ‏:‏ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَلَى جَنَازَةِ أَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ، فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ أُتِيَ بِفَرَسٍ مُعْرَوْرًى فَرَكِبَ وَمَشَيْنَا مَعَهُ
