Digging good and deep graves for multiple people; Putting those with more knowledge of the Quran first when burying multiple people together; Respecting martyrs; Taking care when burying our dead; Showing respect towards those with knowledge of the Quran.

On the day of Uhud, a battle between Muslims and non-Muslims, many Muslims were martyred. When some people complained to Prophet Muhammad about how difficult it was to dig a grave for each person, he instructed them to make good and deep graves and bury two or three people in one grave. He also said that those who knew more Qur’an should be put in first. This hadith teaches us that we should respect those who have knowledge of the Quran by burying them first when multiple people are buried together. It also teaches us that we should take care when burying our dead by making sure their graves are good and deep so they can rest peacefully after death.
