Follow funerals and offer prayers for deceased people .

This hadith explains the importance of attending funerals and offering prayers for the deceased. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that Prophet Muhammad said that whoever follows a funeral and offers the funeral prayer then leaves will have one Qirat reward. A qirat is an amount of reward from Allah which is greater than Mount Uhud. Furthermore, if someone follows a funeral and offers the prayer then stays until burial is completed they will receive two qirats of rewards both of which are even greater than Mount Uhud. This hadith teaches us to show respect to those who have passed away by attending their funerals and praying for them so we can receive great rewards from Allah in return.
