Follow proper etiquette when praying for deceased people

When offering a funeral prayer for a deceased person, it is important to follow certain etiquette. According to this hadith narrated by Abu Umamah, one should recite Umm Al-Qur'an quietly in the first Takbir. This means that one should recite verses from the Quran silently during this part of the prayer. After that three more takbeers should be said and then finally tasleem should be said after the last takbeer.
