Sunan an-Nasai 1965 (Book 21, Hadith 148) #16576
Consequences of Suicide in the Afterlife

SUMMARY: The hadith warns against suicide and emphasizes the consequences of it in the afterlife.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said: "Whoever throws himself, he will be in the Fire of Hell, throwing himself down forever and ever. And whoever kills himself with a piece of iron"- then I missed something ( one of the narrators) Khalid said-"will have his piece of iron in his hand, stabbing himself in the stomach in the Fire of Hell, forever and ever".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect life and trust God's plan even during difficult times.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is a warning from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ about suicide. It explains that whoever commits suicide will be punished for eternity in the Fire of Hell, and if they kill themselves with a piece of iron, they will have to keep stabbing themselves with it forever. This hadith teaches us that life is precious and should not be taken away by our own hands, as Allah has given us this life as a gift and only He can take it away when its time comes. We must remember that Allah knows best what is good for us, so we should trust Him even when times are tough.
