Sunan an-Nasai 1947 (Book 21, Hadith 130) #16558
The Blessing of Children Who Die Before Puberty

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that Allah created people for both Paradise and Hell before they were born, and that children who die before reaching the age of puberty are blessed.

The mother of the believers, 'Aishah, said: "One of the children of the Ansar (who had died) was brought to the Messenger of Allah so he prayed for him"'.Aishah said: "How fortunate he is, one of the little birds of Paradise. He never did any evil or reached the age of puberty". He said: "It is better not to say anything, O 'Aishah Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, created Paradise and created people for it, He created them in the loins of their fathers. And He created Hell and created people for it, and He created them in the loins of their fathers".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the blessing of children who die before reaching the age of puberty. It was narrated by 'Aishah who said that one of the Ansar's children was brought to Prophet Muhammad and he prayed for him. She then said how fortunate he is as one of the little birds in paradise since he never did any evil or reached puberty. Prophet Muhammad then explained that Allah created people for both paradise and hell even before they were born in their fathers' loins. This hadith teaches us to be grateful for our blessings and to remember that Allah knows best what is good for us even if we don't understand it at first glance. We should also remember to be kind towards those who have lost a child as it can be a difficult time for them.
