Burial of the Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad was buried in three white Yemeni garments of cotton, without a shirt or turban.

Hisham narrated from his father, from 'Aishah that: the Messenger of Allah was shrouded in three white Yemeni garments of cotton, among which was no shirt and no turban. It was mentioned to 'Aishah that they said: "He was buried in two garments and a Burd made of Hibrah". She said: "A Burd was brought, but they sent it back and did not shroud him in it".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the burial of the Prophet Muhammad. It states that he was shrouded in three white Yemeni garments made of cotton, and did not have a shirt or turban on him at the time. A Burd made of Hibrah was brought but it was sent back and not used for his burial. This hadith teaches us to respect and honor our beloved prophet by following his example when we are burying someone who has passed away. We should also be mindful to use only clean clothes for shrouding as this is what our beloved prophet did himself. Furthermore, this hadith shows us that simplicity is key when it comes to honoring those who have passed away; we should not be extravagant with their burial arrangements but rather keep things simple and respectful as per Islamic teachings.
