It was narrated that Ibn Juraij sad: "Abu Az-Zubair told me that he heard Jabir say: "The Messenger of Allah delivered a speech and mentioned a man among his Companions who had died. EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of taking proper care when burying a deceased person. It was narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said that he heard it from Abu Az-Zubair, who in turn heard it from the Prophet Muhammad. The Prophet Muhammad spoke about a man among his companions who had died and been buried at night with an insufficient shroud. He then instructed that no one should be buried at night unless absolutely necessary, and encouraged people to take care when shrouding their deceased loved ones. This hadith teaches us to show respect for those who have passed away by making sure they are properly taken care of in death as we would have done in life. It also encourages us to think ahead and plan for our own funerals so that our families do not have to worry about such matters during their time of grief.
