Hair Braiding in Islam

SUMMARY: Umm 'Atiyyah reported that she put her hair in three braids.

Hammad reported from Ayyub: "And Hafsah said, from Umm 'Atiyyah: 'We put her hair in three braids"'.
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، وَقَالَتْ، حَفْصَةُ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، وَجَعَلْنَا، رَأْسَهَا ثَلاَثَةَ قُرُونٍ
