QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for Islamic teachings, following Islamic practices set forth by Prophet Muhammad PBUH .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Umm 'Abdullah, the wife of Abu Musa, states that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that those who shave their heads, raise their voices in lamentation or rend their garments are not part of his followers. This hadith is a reminder to all Muslims to follow the teachings and practices set forth by the Prophet Muhammad and avoid any practices which he did not approve of. It is important for us to remember that we should be following what our beloved prophet has taught us and stay away from any practices which he did not approve of. We should also remember that mourning is an important part of our faith but it should be done in a way which follows Islamic teachings and does not involve any activities such as shaving one's head or raising one's voice in lamentation or tearing one's clothes as these were disapproved by the Prophet Muhammad himself.
