Expressing Sorrow for the Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: Fatimah wept for the Prophet Muhammad when he passed away and expressed her sorrow in a poetic way.

It was narrated from Anas that Fatimah wept for the Messenger of Allah when he died. She said: "O my father, how close he is now to his Lord! O my father, we announce the news (of his death) to Jibril! O my father, Jannat Al-Firdawas is now his abode!"

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the sorrowful reaction of Fatimah, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad upon his death. She expressed her grief in a poetic way by saying "O my father, how close he is now to his Lord! O my father, we announce the news to Jibril! O my father, Jannat Al-Firdawas is now his abode!" This shows us that even though she was sad at her loss she still had faith that Allah would reward him with Paradise. It also teaches us to be patient and have faith during times of difficulty and sadness. We should remember that Allah will always reward those who are patient and have faith in Him.
