Saying something good when you see someone who has passed away.

This hadith speaks to the importance of saying something good when seeing a dead person. Umm Salamah asked the Prophet Muhammad what she should say upon seeing her husband Abu Salamah's death and he told her to say "Allahummaghfirlanaa wa lahu wa a 'qibni minhu 'uqbai hasanah" which translates to "O Allah forgive us and him and compensate me well for this loss". This shows that it is important to remember that Allah will reward those who are kind even in difficult times. It also teaches us that we should be mindful of our words as angels will listen in on what we say and respond with an "Amin". Furthermore, it shows us how powerful our words can be as Allah compensated Umm Salamah with Muhammad after she said these words.
