Don't Wish for Death

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advises us not to wish for death, as it may be a chance to do more good or repent from our sins.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "None of you should wish for death. Either he is a doer of good, so perhaps he may do more good, or he is an evildoer but perhaps he will give up his evil ways".

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive towards goodness and never give up hope of improving oneself

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ advised us not to wish for death, as it may be a chance to do more good or repent from our sins. He said that if someone is doing good deeds, they should continue and strive harder in their efforts. On the other hand, if someone is an evildoer, they should take this opportunity to turn away from their wrongdoings and seek repentance. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive towards doing better and never give up hope of improving ourselves. It also reminds us that Allah SWT is always willing to forgive those who sincerely repent and turn back towards Him.
