The Reward of Extra Prayers

SUMMARY: Praying twelve rak'ahs a day, apart from the obligatory prayers, will be rewarded with a house in Paradise.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that: The Prophet said: "Whoever prays twelve rak'ahs in a day apart from the obligatory prayers, Allah (SWT) will build for him a house in Paradise".

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray twelve extra rak’ahs every day apart from obligatory prayers
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that if we pray twelve rak'ahs in addition to our obligatory prayers each day, Allah will reward us with a house in Paradise. A rak’ah is one unit of prayer and consists of standing up straight while reciting verses from the Quran and then bowing down and prostrating on the ground. By praying extra rak’ahs each day, we can increase our chances of being rewarded by Allah for our good deeds. We should strive to make sure that we are doing all that we can to please Allah so that He may grant us His mercy and blessings.
