The Reward of Praying Twelve Rak'ahs

SUMMARY: Praying twelve rak'ahs of salah will result in Allah building a house for the person in Paradise.

It was narrated from Umm Habibah that: The Messenger of Allah said: "Twelve rak'ahs, whoever prays them Allah will build for him a house in Paradise: four rak'ahs before Zuhr and two rak'ahs after Zuhr, two rak'ahs before Asr, two rak'ahs after Maghrib and two rak'ahs before Subh prayer".
أَخْبَرَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو الأَسْوَدِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَوْسٍ، عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ اثْنَتَا عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً مَنْ صَلاَّهُنَّ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of prayer and how it can be rewarded. It was narrated by Umm Habibah that the Prophet Muhammad said that if someone prays twelve rak’ahs, Allah will build them a house in paradise. These twelve rak’ahs are four before Zuhr, two after Zuhr, two before Asr, two after Maghrib and two before Subh prayer. This hadith is an encouragement to pray regularly as it is not only an act of worship but also has great rewards from Allah. It teaches us to be consistent with our prayers and to make sure we do not miss any salat as this could lead us to missing out on such great rewards from Allah.
