The Reward of Praying Twelve Rak'ahs

SUMMARY: Praying twelve rak'ahs a day and before Zuhr will result in Allah (SWT) building a house in Paradise for the person.

It was narrated that Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan said: "Whoever prays twelve rak'ahs in a day and prays before Zuhr, Allah (SWT) will build for him a house in Paradise".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَكِّيٍّ، قَالاَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي يُونُسَ الْقُشَيْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، قَالَتْ مَنْ صَلَّى ثِنْتَىْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً فِي يَوْمٍ فَصَلَّى قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the reward of praying twelve rak’ahs a day and before Zuhr. A rak’ah is one unit of prayer that consists of standing, bowing, prostrating and sitting. It is narrated by Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan that whoever prays twelve rak’ahs in a day and prays before Zuhr, Allah will build for him/her a house in Paradise as reward. This hadith encourages us to pray regularly as it is an act that pleases Allah and brings us closer to Him. It also teaches us to be mindful of our actions as they can have great rewards from Allah if done with sincerity.
