Not Sleeping on the Qur'an

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) praised Shuraih Al-Hadrami for not sleeping on the Qur'an.

It was narrated that Az-Zuhri said: "As-Sa'ib bin Yazid told me that Shuraih Al-Hadrami was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah , and the Messenger of Allah said: "He does not sleep on the Qur'an"
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي السَّائِبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّ شُرَيْحًا الْحَضْرَمِيَّ، ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ لاَ يَتَوَسَّدُ الْقُرْآنَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about respecting and worshipping the Quran. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) praised Shuraih Al-Hadrami for not sleeping on the Qur'an. This shows that we should treat the Quran with respect and reverence as it is a holy book from Allah SWT. We should never disrespect it by using it as a pillow or something to sit on. We should also read it regularly to gain knowledge of Allah's teachings and live our lives according to them.
