Sunan an-Nasai 1751 (Book 20, Hadith 154) #16362
Reciting Verses in Witr Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to recite certain verses in his witr prayer and then say Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus three times.

It was narrated from Sa'eed bin Abdur-Rahman bin Abza that: His father said: "The Messenger of Allah used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;' and "Say: O you disbelievers!'; and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One". And after he had said the salam, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, raising his voice with it".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of reciting certain verses during his witr prayer. Witr is a special type of prayer that Muslims perform at night, usually after Isha prayers. In this hadith, it is mentioned that the Prophet would recite three specific verses from the Quran before saying Subhanal Malikil Quddus three times. Subhanal Malikil Quddus translates to "Glory be to the Sovereign, Most Holy" and is a phrase used by Muslims to glorify God Almighty. This hadith teaches us that we should take time out of our day to praise and thank God for all His blessings and mercy upon us. It also reminds us of how important it is for us as Muslims to follow in the footsteps of our beloved Prophet Muhammad by reciting these verses during our own witr prayers.
