EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith speaks about the importance of reciting certain verses during the Witr prayer, which is an optional prayer that is performed at night after Isha prayers. It is narrated by Sa'eed bin 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abza from his father, Ubayy bin Ka'b that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to recite three verses in this prayer; “Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High”, “Say: O you disbelievers!” and “Say He is Allah, One”. After reciting these verses he would say Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus three times as a salutation. This hadith teaches us about how important it is to recite these verses during our prayers and also reminds us of how we should end our prayers with a salutation praising Allah Almighty for His greatness and holiness.
