QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic teachings ; Respect for religious rituals ; Be mindful while performing religious duties ; Have patience while performing religious duties ; Show humility before Allah SWT .
EXPLANATIONS:
According to the hadith narrated by Sa'd bin Hisham from Aishah, the Prophet Muhammad did not say the salutation after two units of prayer during his witr prayer. Witr is a special night prayer ritual that Muslims perform at night after Isha prayers. It consists of an odd number of rak’ahs and is usually three or five in number. After each unit of prayer, Muslims usually recite a salutation known as taslim to end their prayers. However, according to this hadith, it was reported that the Prophet Muhammad did not recite a salutation after two units of his witr prayer. This indicates that there are certain exceptions when it comes to reciting taslim in certain prayers and rituals such as witr and tarawih prayers which are performed at night during Ramadan month.
