Beware of Sleeping Too Much

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) warned against sleeping too much, as it can be a sign of the devil's influence.

It was narrated that Abdullah said: "Mention was made in the presence of the Messenger of Allah about a man who slept all night until morning. He said: 'That is a man in whose ear the Shaitan has urinated'."
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ نَامَ لَيْلَةً حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ قَالَ ‏ "‏ ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ بَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ
