Watching Black People Play on Eid

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ invited 'Aishah to watch some black people playing on the day of Eid.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The black people came and played in front of the Prophet on the day of 'Eid. He called me and I watched them from over his shoulder, and I continued to watch them until I was the one who moved away".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ جَاءَ السُّودَانُ يَلْعَبُونَ بَيْنَ يَدَىِ النَّبِيِّ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ فَدَعَانِي فَكُنْتُ أَطَّلِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ مِنْ فَوْقِ عَاتِقِهِ فَمَا زِلْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ حَتَّى كُنْتُ أَنَا الَّتِي انْصَرَفْتُ

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of Eid, the Prophet Muhammad invited his wife Aishah to watch some black people playing. He was so interested in what they were doing that he kept watching them until Aishah moved away. This hadith teaches us that we should be respectful and appreciative of all cultures and backgrounds, regardless of their differences from our own. We should also take time out to enjoy activities with family and friends during special occasions like Eid.
