QUICK LESSONS:
Pray regularly and respectfully

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad leading a group of his companions in prayer. He would lead them in two rak’ahs, which are units of prayer that involve standing up, bowing down and prostrating. After completing the two rak’ahs he would say “taslim” which is an Arabic word meaning “peace be upon you”. He would then repeat this process with another group of people. This hadith teaches us that it is important to pray regularly and to be respectful when doing so by saying “taslim” at the end of each prayer session. It also shows us how much respect we should have for our religious leaders as they are teaching us how to properly practice our faith.
