Praying During Battle

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led the people in prayer during a battle, and they did not make up for the missed rak'ah.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that: The Messenger of Allah prayed at Dhi Qarad and the people formed two rows behind him, one row behind him and one row facing the enemy. He led those who were behind him in praying one rak'ah, then they went and took the place of the others, and the others came and he led them in praying one rak'ah, and they did not make it up.

QUICK LESSONS:
Take time to pray and remember Allah SWT even during times of war or conflict .

EXPLANATIONS:
During a battle at Dhi Qarad, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led his followers in prayer. He divided them into two rows; one row behind him and one row facing the enemy. He then prayed one rak’ah with each group without making up for it afterwards. This hadith teaches us that even during times of war or conflict, we should still take time to pray and remember Allah SWT. It also shows us that we should prioritize our faith over worldly matters such as battles or wars.
