Raising Hands in Prayer for Rain

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) raised his hands high while praying for rain, so much so that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.

It was narrated that Anas said: "The Messenger of Allah did not raise his hands during any supplication except when praying for rain, when he used to raise his hands so high that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen".

QUICK LESSONS:
Raise your hands during prayer when asking for something from Allah .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Anas ibn Malik states that the Prophet Muhammad used to raise his hands very high when he prayed for rain. This is a sign of humility and submission to Allah, as it shows how desperate we are for His mercy and blessings. It also serves as an example of how we should pray in times of need, with complete faith and trust in Allah's power. We should not forget that He is the only one who can provide us with what we need, no matter how difficult our situation may seem. Furthermore, this hadith teaches us to be patient and persistent in our prayers; even if it takes a long time before our prayers are answered, we must never give up hope or lose faith in Allah's mercy.
