It was narrated from Samurah that: The Prophet ﷺ led them in prayer during an eclipse of the sun, and we did not hear him say anything.
The Prophet's silence during this prayer was also significant because it showed his respect for God's power over nature, as well as his humility before Him. He knew that no words could adequately express what he was feeling at that moment so he chose to remain silent instead. This teaches us that sometimes it is better to stay quiet than try to explain something with words when we don't have the right ones or when our emotions are too strong for them to do justice.
