EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's prayer during an eclipse of the sun. It was narrated by Abu Bakrah that when there was an eclipse of the sun, the Prophet Muhammad prayed two rak'ahs. A rak'ah is a unit of prayer in Islam and it consists of standing up straight with hands raised to ears while reciting verses from Quran followed by bowing down with hands on knees while reciting more verses from Quran and then prostrating on ground while reciting more verses from Quran. This hadith teaches us that we should take time out to pray during times of difficulty or distress such as eclipses or other natural phenomena. It also teaches us that we should not be afraid or scared when something like this happens but instead use it as a reminder to turn towards Allah in prayer and supplication for help and guidance.
