Sending Weak Members of Family

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) sent Ibn 'Abbas on the night of Al-Muzdalifa as one of the weak members of his family.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: I as among those whom the Prophet sent on the night of Al-Muzdalifa early being among the weak members of his family.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يَقُولُ أَنَا مِمَّنْ، قَدَّمَ النَّبِيُّ لَيْلَةَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ فِي ضَعَفَةِ أَهْلِهِ‏.‏

This hadith is about how the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ sent Ibn 'Abbas on the night of Al-Muzdalifa as one of the weak members of his family. This shows that even those who are considered to be weaker should not be neglected and should be given an opportunity to prove themselves. It also teaches us that we should always take care and look out for those who are weaker than us and help them in any way we can. Furthermore, it teaches us to never underestimate anyone regardless of their physical or mental strength because everyone has something valuable to offer.
