Praying During an Eclipse

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ prayed during an eclipse and recited verses from the Quran before bowing and prostrating.

It was narrated from Tawus from Ibn Abbas that: The Prophet prayed when there was an eclipse. He recited then he bowed, then he recited then he bowed, then he recited then he bowed, then he recited then he bowed, then he prostrated, and he did the second rak'ahs in same fashion.

Turn towards Allah, Be mindful of your relationship with God, Strive for closeness with God through prayer .

EXPLANATIONS:
During an eclipse, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would pray to Allah. He would recite verses from the Quran before bowing and prostrating in prayer. This is a reminder of how important it is to turn to Allah in times of difficulty or distress, as well as in times of joy and celebration. It also serves as a reminder that we should always strive to be mindful of our relationship with Allah, no matter what situation we find ourselves in. The Prophet Muhammad's example shows us that prayer can bring us closer to Allah even when faced with difficult circumstances such as eclipses or other natural phenomena.
