Sahih al-Bukhari 1675 (Book 25, Hadith 155) #1606
The Prophet's Shifted Prayers

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) performing two prayers at a time and place that was not their usual time and place.

Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid: 'Abdullah;- performed the Hajj and we reached Al-Muzdalifa at or about the time of the 'Isha' prayer. He ordered a man to pronounce the Adhan and Iqama and then he offered the Maghrib prayer and offered two rak'at after it. Then he asked for his supper and took it, and then, I think, he ordered a man to pronounce the Adhan and Iqama (for the 'Isha' prayer). ('Amr, a sub-narrator said: The intervening statement 'I think', was said by the sub-narrator Zuhair) (ie not by 'Abdur-Rahman). Then 'Abdullah offered two rak'at of 'Isha' prayer. When the day dawned, 'Abdullah said, "The Prophet never offered any prayer at this hour except this prayer at this time and at this place and on this day"'.Abdullah added, "These two prayers are shifted from their actual times -- the Maghrib prayer (is offered) when the people reached Al-Muzdalifa and the Fajr (morning) prayer at the early dawn"'.Abdullah added, "I saw the Prophet doing that".

QUICK LESSONS:
Prioritize your prayers no matter what situation you are in or where you are located . Pray on time as much as possible so that your relationship with Allah remains strong and consistent . Follow Islamic teachings even while travelling or in difficult situations .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about the importance of prayer in Islam. It also teaches us that even though prayer has specific times and places, it can be shifted if necessary. For example, when the companions of the Prophet were travelling for Hajj they prayed Maghrib at Muzdalifa instead of its usual time. Similarly, they prayed Fajr early in the morning instead of its usual time as well. This shows us that we should always prioritize our prayers no matter what situation we are in or where we are located. We should also remember to pray on time as much as possible so that our relationship with Allah remains strong and consistent.
