Pay attention and listen carefully when an Imam delivers a sermon .

This hadith emphasizes the importance of listening attentively during the sermon on Fridays. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that Prophet Muhammad said that whoever says to his companion on Friday when the Imam is delivering a sermon “Listen attentively” has engaged in idle talk. This means that it is not appropriate to engage in any kind of conversation or discussion while an Imam is delivering a sermon as it distracts from paying attention and understanding what he is saying.
