Respect elders & those in authority; strive to resolve disputes peacefully; make exceptions for health & valid reasons; fast during Ramadan & religious occasions like ‘Arafah Day

On the day of 'Arafa, some people who were with Um al-Fadl bint al-Harith noticed that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was either fasting or not. To settle this dispute, she sent a bowl full of milk to him while he was riding his camel and he drank it. This hadith teaches us that we should always be respectful towards our elders and those in authority. We should also strive to resolve disputes peacefully instead of arguing with each other. Furthermore, it shows us that even though fasting is important during Ramadan and other religious occasions such as 'Arafa Day, there are times when exceptions can be made for health reasons or other valid reasons.
