Be mindful during your prayers and follow instructions given by Prophet Muhammad PBUH .

This hadith is about the importance of prayer and how to act if one forgets something during their prayer. Mu'awiyah was praying in front of a group of people when he stood up during a part of the prayer where he should have been sitting. The people said tasbih but he remained standing. He then prostrated twice while sitting after completing his prayer. After this, Mu'awiyah sat on the Minbar and said that he heard Prophet Muhammad say that whoever forgets something in their prayers should prostrate twice like this. This hadith teaches us that we must be mindful during our prayers and if we forget something we should make two prostrations afterwards to make up for it. It also shows us the importance of following instructions given by Prophet Muhammad as they are beneficial for us even after his death.
