Follow all rituals associated with performing an umra as prescribed by Islam, Respect for Prophet Muhammad's example

This hadith speaks to the importance of completing all rituals associated with performing an Umrah. It was narrated by Amr bin Dinar that he asked Ibn Umar whether a man who performed tawaf around the Ka'ba but not yet completed tawaf between Safa and Marwa could have sexual relations with his wife. Ibn Umar replied that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) himself performed seven rounds of tawaf around Ka'ba before offering two rak'at prayer behind Maqam Ibrahim and then completed seven rounds of tawaful between Safa and Marwa. He added that in Prophet Muhammad's example one should find a good example to follow. Similarly, Jabir bin Abdullah also said that one should not come near his wife until he has completed tawaful between Safa and Marwa. This hadith thus emphasizes on following all rituals associated with performing an Umrah as prescribed by Islam in order to gain its full benefits.
