Praising Allah (SWT) and Sending Peace Upon The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the importance of praising Allah (SWT) and sending peace upon the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

It was narrated from 'Abdullah that : The Prophet said in the tashahhud: "At-tahiyyatu lillahi was-salawatu wat-tayyibat, as-salamu 'alaika ayyuhan-Nabiyyu wa rahmatAllahi wa baraktuhu. As-salamu 'alaina wa 'ala 'ibad illahis-salihin, ashahdu an la illaha ill-Allah wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu (Allah compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah (SWT) and his blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah (SWT). I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger)".
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، وَمَنْصُورٍ، وَحَمَّادٍ، وَمُغِيرَةَ، وَأَبِي، هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ فِي التَّشَهُّدِ ‏ "‏ التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو هَاشِمٍ غَرِيبٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about praising Allah and sending peace upon the Prophet Muhammad. It was narrated from 'Abdullah that the Prophet said in his tashahhud, which is a part of prayer, "At-tahiyyatu lillahi was-salawatu wat-tayyibat, as-salamu 'alaika ayyuhan Nabiyyu wa rahmatAllahi wa baraktu. As salamu alaina wa ala ibadillahi salihin, ashaddu an la illaha illAllah wa ashhaddu anna Muhammadan abdahu wa rasuluh". This translates to "Compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you O Prophet and mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and on the righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger". In this hadith we learn how important it is for us to praise God Almighty by saying supplications such as At Tahiyyaatu Lillahi Was Salawaatu Wat Tayibaat which means compliments, prayers, pure words are all due to God Almighty alone. We also learn how important it is for us to send peace upon our beloved prophet Muhammed by saying As Salam Alaika Ayyuha Nabi Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakato which means may peace be on you O prophet along with mercy from God Almighty & His blessings too! Lastly we learn how important it is for us to testify that there's no one worthy of worship except God & testify that Muhammed PBUH Is His slave & messenger too!
