Prohibited Behaviors in Islam

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) forbade three behaviors that are considered inappropriate.

'Abdur-Rahman bin Shibl said: The Messenger of Allah forbade three things: "Pecking like a crow, resting one's forearms on the ground like a predator, and allocating the same place for prayer like a camel gets used to a certain place".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be respectful & mindful in your behavior & actions
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to be mindful of our behavior and actions. He prohibited three behaviors which are pecking like a crow, resting one's forearms on the ground like a predator and allocating the same place for prayer like a camel gets used to a certain place. Pecking like a crow is seen as an act of arrogance and disrespect while resting one's forearms on the ground is seen as an act of laziness or lack of respect for oneself. Allocating the same place for prayer is discouraged because it can lead to complacency in our worship and make us forgetful of Allah’s greatness. We should strive to be mindful of our behavior at all times so that we can become closer to Allah through our actions.
