Prostration as Described by Al-Bara'

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the description of prostration as seen by Al-Bara' and what he saw the Messenger of Allah doing.

It was narrated that Abu Ishaq said: "Al-Bara' described the prostration to us. He places his hands on the ground and raised his posterior and said: 'This is what I saw the Messenger of Allah doing".
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ وَصَفَ لَنَا الْبَرَاءُ السُّجُودَ فَوَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ بِالأَرْضِ وَرَفَعَ عَجِيزَتَهُ وَقَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَفْعَلُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how to perform salat, or prayer. It was narrated by Abu Ishaq that Al-Bara’ described the prostration to them. He placed his hands on the ground and raised his posterior and said that this is what he saw the Messenger of Allah doing. This hadith teaches us that we should follow in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) when it comes to performing salat, or prayer, as it was seen done by him. We should also strive to emulate his actions in our daily lives so that we can become closer to God Almighty and His beloved messenger.
