Prohibitions of the Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad forbade Ali from wearing certain clothing, wearing gold rings, and reciting the Quran while bowing.

It was narrated that Ali said: "The Messenger of Allah forbade me from wearing Al-Qassi, and clothes dyed from safflower, and from wearing gold rings, and from reciting Qura'n while bowing".
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَنْ لُبْسِ الْقَسِّيِّ وَالْمُعَصْفَرِ وَعَنْ تَخَتُّمِ الذَّهَبِ وَعَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ فِي الرُّكُوعِ
