Praying with Hands on Knees

SUMMARY: It is forbidden to put hands between the knees while praying and it is commanded to put hands on the knees.

It was narrated that Mus'ab bin Sa'd said: "I prayed beside my father and I put my hands between my knees, and he told me: 'Put your hands on your knees'. Then I did that again and he struck my hands and said: 'We were forbidden to do that, and we were commanded to put our hands on our knees'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Allah's commandments while praying by putting one's hand on their knee instead of between their knee.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that when we are praying, we should not place our hands between our knees. Instead, we should place them on top of our knees. This was a commandment from Allah and it is important for us to follow this commandment in order to show respect for Allah and His teachings. We must also remember that if we do not follow this commandment then it will be considered as a sin in the eyes of Allah. The hadith also teaches us that even though something may seem small or insignificant, it can still be important in the eyes of Allah and so we must always strive to obey His commands no matter how small they may seem.
