Reciting Quran During Isha Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) recited a verse from the Quran while on a journey during Isha prayer.

It was narrated that Al-Bara' bin Azib said: "The Messenger of Allah was on a journey and he recited: 'By the fig and the olive' in the first rak'ah of isha'".
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فِي سَفَرٍ فَقَرَأَ فِي الْعِشَاءِ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأُولَى بِالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's journey and his reciting of a verse from the Quran during his Isha prayer. It is narrated by Al-Bara' bin Azib that when the Prophet was on a journey he recited "By the fig and the olive" in his first rak'ah of isha'. This hadith teaches us to recite verses from the holy book of Allah even when we are travelling or busy with other activities.
